While we're "in the area", why not look at the wonderful land of Oz?

C’mon, let’s do this, dear readers!

Having never been to Australia (or New Zealand, for that matter), here’s an homage to “Down Under”:

Apart from clichés, there’s also the next one (which I’ll include because my kids love the “Back to the Outback” movie), oh, plus it’s quite…educational, too!

Sydney in the 1950s

Here’s a view of Sydney Harbour prior to 1959 (which is when construction of the Opera commenced):

One of the chapters in my book will quite likely be about the “lost art of writing postcards”, hence the infrequent posting of the reverse, just like this one:

Finally, Tasmania

Because I now have a new colleague who hails from that island (and I think no trip to “Down Under” could ever be complete without trying to locate a “Tasmanian Devil”).
