Oh, it's awesome: apart from Roman ruins, there are Venetian structures and the Austro-Hungarian legacy; in addition, Istria is probably my top destination world-wide food-wise, for it sits right at the intersection of 'Austrian', Italian, and Balkan cuisines…
Perfumed water on the observers...WOW. I assume rose water?
And here I am thinking it is extra fancy to get misted when I walk into the hardware store in summertime to cool down.
Next time I shall complain at the lack of parfumery.
Well, all you get in our stadiums is--the perspiration of tens of thousands of beer-drinking men.
Talk about civilisation, I suppose.
Pula is cool. The Austrians tunneled through the entire central part of the city. The tunnels are open to the public nowadays and quite impressive.
Ah, I've been to Pula several times, but I've not made it to these tunnels!
They were dug during WW1, and here's a link (tourism information) about them: https://www.visitpula.hr/see-do/zerostrasse/
Interesting. Looks like a beautiful city
