Ha ha absolutely brilliant! And well done Christian. I must admit the musing of somehow sending you a postcard has crossed my mind on many an occasion…
And indeed on a wee UK trip this month whilst posting a few cards to family and friends you drifted into my thoughts.
I also often think of a lovely lady I met a few years back who manned a small post office counter in a tobacconist in Lille - she was part of a calligraphy network and every Christmas they swap addresses and she sent out 100+ handwritten cards to folk she doesn’t know around the world - such a wonderful gesture and tradition.
That is so awesome--and I'll add the following anecdote:
Me in Venice attending some academic gathering a decade ago or so; I step into a tobacco sales point ("Sali e Tabacchi", for those who know) "manned" by a sweet elderly lady. I ask for a stamp to Switzerland and one to Israel, and she snaps back: "ah, there's but one stamp for all of Europe".

Wonderful! They are like the gatekeepers of the magic that is “snail mail”.
Thank you! :)
Wieder sehr schöne Zeitdokumente! Danke!
Very impressive mountain
There's quite a bunch of these in the high Alps, and they are a sight to behold!
I bet. My husband said they were beautiful
Btw, postcards seem to be low in the postal hierarchy nowadays. This one was sent around August 12.
